Job Description

This position will work with IT teams and the business to help implement and guide retail solutions and will be responsible for projects related to the Point of Sale environment (POS and related applications).

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

· In partnership with different IT teams, work on the implementation of new retail applications and infrastructure projects, i.e. new POS, new payment solution among other projects, upgrades to devices, and automation of store rollouts for the application or payment devices.

· Contribute to Store Systems roadmap for POS and our other existing Store Systems applications.

· Provide day to day hands on support for all retail systems which include POS, payment terminals and other store applications. Troubleshoot POS issues and be able to support all aspects of retail systems.

· Support automated tools to perform maintenance tasks to install, configure, test, and patch Aptos POS.

· Work with Development teams to automate, build, and test POS software releases for deployment.

· Configure, implement, monitor, and maintain quality assurance and production environments.

· Provide business-hours and after-hours Tier 2 / 3 support of retail infrastructure environment on a rotational basis.

· Troubleshoot system malfunctions and other unsatisfactory occurrences to be able to provide analysis and recommendations for resolution and prevention.

· Monitor and analyze system performance to provide recommendations for improvement, including system tuning and hardware integration.

· Provide input into system design and capacity planning.

· Provide documentation and training to Tier 1 Store Support teams.

· Support future Retail POS replacement activities for global solution replacement.

· Participate in external vendor management issues.

· Engage the appropriate IT teams and vendors during service interruption issues to ensure quick resolution.

· Lead important incident troubleshooting efforts of cross functional teams and vendors to resolve service interruption.

· Effectively manage vendor documentation and all configuration changes.

· Thoroughly test system functionality and coordinate business UAT test cycles.

· Partner with field teams to best support stores with 99.9% up time for new and existing retail applications.

· Partner with Store Operations in rolling out of new versions of POS to stores. Responsible for development of rollout schedule, cutover strategy and post deployment validation.

· Develop new and improve existing monitoring and alerting for successful nightly polling, TLOG creating and processing, sales posting, product, price or any other 3rd party integrations.

· Closely follow SDLC and user acceptance testing requirements to ensure all technology and enhancements are properly tested and validated prior to production rollouts.

· All other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

· Strong communication, analytical, and problem solving skills

· Strong multitasking capabilities

· Self-starter with ability to work independently with minimal direction

· Microsoft SQL Server queries and reporting

· PCI or SOX compliance experience helpful

· Experience with Aptos Store 6.4 Point of Sale (POS)

· Strong report writing capabilities

· Strong Microsoft Office skills required

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field, 3-5 years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
