About Cristo Rey Charleston High School

Cristo Rey Charleston High School (CRCHS) is a college preparatory, Catholic high school for students of all faiths, that will educate young people of limited resources to become persons of faith, purpose, and service. CRCHS is the 42nd Cristo Rey high school model in the United States and will welcome the founding class of students in August of 2027. The school will be in North Charleston, SC and will serve approximately 400 students in grades 9-12 from across the greater Charleston area. Each student will participate in the Corporate Work Study Program, an integral part of the Cristo Rey model in which every student works one day a week throughout their four years at the school. The one day per week students are at work, teachers have extended planning and collaboration opportunities. CRCHS will prepare students to excel in college, in career, and in character. Our college prep curriculum, Corporate Work Study Program, and faith-based education combine to give students a unique experience and an affordable option for high-quality education. Our aspiration is that all our students graduate from high school and college and become the future leaders in our churches, institutions, businesses, nonprofits, and the community at large.

Founding VP of Corporate Workstudy

Position Summary

We are recruiting a skilled leader who is passionate about the Cristo Rey mission. The Vice President Corporate Work Study leads all aspects of the Corporate Work Study Program for Cristo Rey Charleston High School and will have primary accountability for Corporate Work Study Program (CWSP) team leadership, program oversight, job sales, operations, legal compliance and executing all related program elements. This includes stewarding client relationships to cultivate new clients to achieve full and meaningful employment for all students, as well as ensuring the retention and growth of existing partners.

Primary Responsibilities

• Ability to develop and coach a high performance CWSP team and be able to work with other departments within the diverse culture of a Cristo Rey academic institution
• 5 or more years of proven success with lead generation and securing corporate sales, fundraising or sponsorship.
• 3 or more years of experience leading sales teams.
• Evidence of operational processes experience and 3 or more years leading teams with full or partial operational functions.
• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills, including evidence of enhancing program growth and innovation.
• Results driven approach and strong problem solver with a demonstrable history of successful innovative solutions.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills including proven ability to engage and inspire a wide range of partners, build creative and mutually beneficial relationships within the corporate and nonprofit sectors.
• The executive presence to inspire organizational and professional confidence, passion and persistence in an ambitious, fast-paced, and results-oriented team, all while maintaining a positive work environment.
• Unquestionable integrity and ethical behavior that creates trust among the school’s stakeholders.
• The maturity and skill required to optimize volunteer leadership engagement in achieving sales goals.
• A Bachelor’s degree.

• Work with the school staff and community to create and implement the necessary systems to ensure a safe and productive corporate work study environment and that support the ongoing achievement of School and Network improvement priorities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher
• Commitment to Catholic education, demonstrated ability to serve as a faith leader.
• Demonstrated commitment to working with diverse communities and proven experience working with individuals and families from limited resource communities.
• Fluency in Spanish preferred
